Privacy Policy
How Simulated Solutions handles personal information provided through this website.
Last updated: 14 October 2026.
1. Data controller
Simulated Solutions Ltd ("we", "our", "us") is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through this website under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Simulated Solutions Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 14112655. Privacy enquiries can be sent to enquiries@simulatedsolutions.co.uk.
2. Information we collect
- Information you provide: name, company, email address, subject, message and any other information you choose to send through the contact form or by email.
- Technical and usage information: information such as IP address, browser/device characteristics, pages viewed and referral source where analytics or security tooling is enabled.
- Marketing and advertising information: campaign attribution and engagement data where advertising measurement technologies such as Google Ads or the LinkedIn Insight Tag are enabled and the required consent has been given.
- Consent information: Cookiebot may process and record your cookie/privacy choices so that your preferences can be respected and, where required, evidenced.
3. How we use personal information
- To respond to enquiries, discuss requirements and take steps requested before entering into a contract.
- To deliver consultancy, training and related business services.
- To operate, secure and improve the website and our communications.
- To understand website performance and measure advertising effectiveness where optional analytics or marketing technologies have been consented to.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Lawful bases
Depending on the activity, we may rely on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation or consent. Where consent is the lawful basis, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing already carried out lawfully.
5. Cookies, Cookiebot and tracking
We use Cookiebot CMP to manage cookie preferences. Google Ads and the LinkedIn Insight Tag are loaded only after marketing consent. Google Analytics 4 is not currently enabled. Declining optional cookies does not prevent an enquiry. See our Cookie Policy for more information and the live cookie declaration.
6. LinkedIn Insight Tag
Where enabled, the LinkedIn Insight Tag helps us measure campaign performance, understand how visitors interact with our site and attribute conversions. LinkedIn may receive technical information such as the page URL, referrer, IP address, device/browser characteristics and timestamp. Simulated Solutions receives reporting and campaign insights rather than the underlying LinkedIn profile information. For more information, see LinkedIn's privacy information.
7. Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. Netlify hosts this website and processes and stores contact-form submissions, including automated spam screening. Microsoft 365 receives and stores our enquiry emails. Notifications are sent to enquiries@simulatedsolutions.co.uk and forwarded internally to the responsible team member. Cookiebot manages cookie consent, and Google and LinkedIn provide advertising measurement where consent has been given. We may also share information with professional advisers, regulators or authorities where required.
The contact form sends the name, email address, company, optional subject, message and privacy acknowledgement to Netlify. These field values are not sent by our conversion-tracking code to Google or LinkedIn. Please do not use the public form to send classified, export-controlled or other sensitive technical information; contact us first to agree an appropriate transfer method.
The site’s typefaces are requested from Google Fonts. These font requests include standard connection information, such as the IP address needed to deliver the files, and are separate from Google Ads tracking.
8. International transfers
Our hosting, form, email, consent and advertising providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Applicable provider data-processing agreements and transfer safeguards must be considered for those transfers. You can contact us for information about the arrangements applying to your enquiry.
9. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including maintaining appropriate business records and meeting legal or regulatory requirements. Retention periods used by analytics, advertising, hosting and consent providers depend on the production configuration and their applicable terms.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the processing of your personal information, request data portability, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
11. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure.
12. Third-party links
This website may link to third-party websites that are outside our control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices and policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this notice when our website, providers or processing activities change. The date above will be revised when a material update is made.
